Terms of Service

Effective July 11, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the JustUs Legal application and its tools, including JustUsAI and PATRIOT (collectively, the "App"), operated by JustUs Legal ("we," "us," or "our") from the State of Florida, USA. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the App. The App is intended for adults handling their own legal matters.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your email current.
• You may delete your account at any time from within the App; deletion permanently removes your account, remaining credits, and usage history.

3. The service

The App helps you understand legal processes and prepare documents for CPS & family-court defense and civil-rights (§ 1983) matters. Outputs are generated by artificial intelligence based on the information you provide and general legal sources. The App does not guarantee any particular outcome.

4. Credits, purchases & subscriptions

• Usage credits are one-time purchases (1 credit = $0.01). AI actions are metered and charged from your balance. Credits expire 30 days after purchase unless you hold an active plan that extends them.
• Membership ($18.99/mo) keeps purchased credits alive for a rolling ~6 months while active; usage is still charged from your credits.
• Unlimited ($49.99/mo) and Unlimited — Annual ($539.89/yr) include AI usage with no per-action charges, subject to a fair-use limit of approximately 100 actions per month.
• Billing. All payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage, switch, or cancel your plan anytime through the Stripe customer portal in the App.
• Refunds. Except where required by law or store policy, purchases and credits are non-refundable. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
• Prices, plans, and fair-use thresholds may change; changes will not affect a billing period already paid for.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to that store's terms and refund policies.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use the App for any unlawful purpose or to harass, defame, or harm others.
• Do not rely on the App as your sole source of legal guidance, and do not submit content you have no right to submit.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service, or exceed fair-use limits through automation.

6. AI limitations & no warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are solely responsible for verifying every citation and fact before use.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JustUs Legal and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including any legal outcome. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JustUs Legal from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

9. Intellectual property

The App, its branding, and its content (excluding the case information you provide and the documents generated for you) are owned by JustUs Legal and protected by law. You retain ownership of the content you create; you grant us only the limited, transient rights needed to operate the service for you.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
